Summary :
The Cybersecurity Analyst ensures the Air Force units cybersecurity and operational readiness by conducting Cyber Operational Readiness Assessments (CORA), implementing Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), monitoring cyber threats, and supporting software compliance efforts. This role secures the organizations global IT enterprise, supports cloud transitions, and contributes to compliance reporting, aligning with Department of Defense (DoD) standards.

Responsibilities :
  • Test and analyze STIGs for IT systems.
  • Schedule and implement STIGs across systems.
  • Monitor and execute quarterly STIG revalidation schedules.
  • Track emerging STIG changes.
  • Provide technical input for cybersecurity meetings and briefings.
  • Monitor cybersecurity risks and threats using tools like ACAS.
  • Assist in developing cloud transition cybersecurity plans.
  • Support artifact development and baseline assessments for STIG compliance.
  • Contribute to technical reports and deliverables.
  • For expansion tasks: Perform additional STIG testing, monitoring, or compliance support as directed.
Qualifications :
  • Minimum 5 years of demonstrated experience in Air Force or industry cybersecurity standards, or equivalent with NIST security standards.
  • Expertise in Endpoint Security , Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS), Threat Hunting and Risk Analysis, Intrusion Detection Systems, and DISA STIGs
  • Additional expertise: Familiarity with secure software development and DISA Application Security STIGs.
  • U.S. citizenship and minimum Secret security clearance.
  • Completion of annual training: Cyber Awareness, Security Administration, Derivative, Unauthorized Disclosure, Anti-terrorist, OPSEC, safety.
Desired Skills :
  • Certifications: CISSP, CEH, CompTIA Security+.
  • Experience with DoD cloud security frameworks (e.g., DoD Cloud SRG).
  • Proficiency in threat intelligence and incident response.
  • Basic knowledge of software security tools (e.g., Fortify, CodeSonar).
