GENERAL PURPOSEInstructs faculty, staff and affiliates in cardiopulmonary resuscitation psychomotor skills for certification or recertification as required.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS- Instructs faculty, staff, and affiliates in cardiopulmonary resuscitation psychomotor skills.- Recommends students for certification in American Red Cross or American Heart Association CPR, according to demonstrated psychomotor skills.- Instructs students following the curricula outlined in the BLS (Basic Life Support) Instructor Course as prescribed in the Instructor Manual Addendum of the American Heart Association New York State Affiliate, Inc.- Other duties as assigned.MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCEHigh School diploma requiredOr equivalent combination of education and experienceLICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONSBCLS - Basic Life Support from The American Red Cross or American Heart Association as an Instructor upon hire requiredThe University of Rochester is committed to fostering, cultivating, and preserving an inclusive and welcoming culture to advance the University’s Mission to Learn, Discover, Heal, Create – and Make the World Ever Better.
